She is professional tennis player.

She won four Grand Slam singles titles,six Grand Slam women's doubles titles , and four Grand Slam mixed modubles titles.

Sànchez Vicario started playing tennis at age four, when she followed her older brothers Emilio Sànchez and Javier Sànchez.

As a 17-years old,she became the yourgest winner of the 1989 French Opwn,defeating world no.1 Steffi Graf in the final.

Josep María Carreras I Coll was born on Barcelona 5 december of 1946

He is a Spanish tenor, he's famous for his roles in works by Verdi and Puccini.
L'Elisir d'amore, Lucia di Lammermoor, La Juive, Tosca, La Boheme, Samson et Dalila, Un ballo in maschera, La Battaglia di Legnano, Il Corsaro, Un giorno di regno, Stiffelio and Il trovatore.

His story starts when he was a little boy. With eight years he realized his firts actuation in the spanish radio singing La donna è mobile. With only eleven years he makes his first appearance in the Liceu as a child soprano

In his adolescence, Carreras studied in the Conservatori Superior de musica del Liceu.
He debuted in 1970 in Barcelona as a Ismael in Nabbuco and in the opera Norma.
In 1972 debuted in United States in the paper of Pinkerton of Madame Butterfly. In 1973 debuted in Londres, and in 1974 in Viena interpreting La Traviata. With 28 years old he sang 24 operas.

A few years ago Carreros had leucemia .After harsh treatment that included radiation and chemotherapy Carreras resumed his artistic career. He has created a foundation to investigate leucemia

FAMOUS PERSON+ Antonio Lopez

Gaudi was born in Spain in 1852. He was the youghest of five children. His mother died in his infancy and his brother and sister died at an early age. Gaudi came to Barcelona at the age of 21 to study.
He studied architecture in Barcelona, Spain at the Escola Tecnica Superior d’Arquitectura but he was not a very good student. After five years, in 1878, Gaudi officially became an architect.

Stricken with a rheumatic problem that made walking painful, young Antoni Gaudí often missed school and had little interaction with other children

he building that Antoni Gaudi is best known for, though, is La Sagrada Familia in Barcelona . He began this huge church in 1882 and he worked on it until he died in 1926. It still has not been finished.
Unfortunately, the last drawing he drew was destroyed in 1938 so the architects who are now working on the building don’t know exactly what Gaudi had in mind for the church.

He spent much of his time walking and observing animals, plants and forms in nature.
He died on June 10, 1926 . He was overrun by a tram.

The Barraquer institute was founded on april 15th, 1947 by Ignacio Barraquer and his wife, Mrs. Josefa Moner. The institute is an independent and self-financed scientific association devoted to the research and teaching of Ophthalmology, to the exchange of ideas and scientific discoveries, to the improvement and diffusion of medical and surgical treatments as well as to the general promotion of Ophtalmology.

The name that distinguishes the institute was adopted in memoriam of José Antonio Barraquer Rovialta, and it has got active members in all five continents.
.The president of the Spanish Society of Ophthalmology, Joaquin Barraquer, believes that blindness will have a solution in the future "in an electronic way, when you can implant in the human brain a chip capable of interpreting the image that has already been tested successfully in primates.
